Awarding Since 2016 • Incorporated 2021
Freedom, once found, insists on being shared.
The Tip Jones StartUP Scholarship has awarded microgrants to aspiring entrepreneurs since 2016. It was incorporated as a North Carolina nonprofit corporation in 2021 and is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) organization. Founded by Dr. Tip Jones®.

Why it exists
Tip began building businesses long before she entered corporate America. She knows that talent and initiative are widely distributed. Early capital, credible guidance, and access to learning remain unevenly distributed.
The scholarship turns that understanding into action through microgrants — modest, early money at the point where a concept either moves or stalls. A small amount at the beginning, paired with guidance and encouragement, can change what becomes possible.
Scholarship opportunities
Current award cycles, eligibility criteria, application requirements, selection timelines, permitted uses of funds, and recipient obligations will be published by the scholarship organization when each cycle opens.
